Our Farms

Managed by Simon, our family farm of 6,500 acres has been the centre of our operation for over 100 years, operating a sustainable 8 year rotation including peas, sugar beet, brassicas and of course, most importantly…..SPUDS!

Our Crops

With Lincolnshire being the UK potato capital due to the top-quality soil, it gives our produce a head start against the competition. Our loyal team of green fingered farming wizards ensure our crop is fully cared for throughout the planting, harvesting and storage seasons.

Wheat

Major Break Crop within our root and Vegetable rotation, with the majority is sold for animal consumption.

Sugarbeet

High sugar yielding varieties are produced with minimal impurities to maximise sugar production for British Sugars.

Leafy Salad

To enhance our rotation of arable crops, our land is rented to specialist salad growers, who ultilise our sophisticated irrigation networks.

Leeks

A new addition into our cropping, complimenting our arable rotation and irrigation infrastructure. We are able to grow the crop from seed, using different varieties to harvest from October through to May.

Vining Peas

Growing high quality Petit Pois for the Holbeach Marsh Cooperative.

Brassicas

Cauliflower production harvested from midsummer to late autumn.

Energy Crop

Rye and Maize, for our 1.5Mw Anerobic Digester, supplying 80% of our site’s electric requirement.

Potatoes

Our stable & heritage, using the latest technology, agronomy and irrigation to produce a consistent high yielding crop.

Environment

Being a LEAF demonstration Farm we are committed to environmental & crop assurance schemes sensitive to our environment and ecosystem.

We farm in a sustainable, responsible and sympathetic way without jeopardising our productivity. We take our environmental and social responsibilities seriously, it is our policy to continually improve our practices and be sensitive to our environment and ecosystem.

Marsh Harriers have nested on our site since 1980, whilst our community of Barn Owls have steadily increased. The importance of developing local wildlife in conjunction with sustainable development is one of the key philosophies instilled by Arthur Worth in 1895, with each generation committed to these principles. The current (fourth) generation of the Worth family is fully dedicated to continuing this tradition.
